Run curl -fsSL https://repo.kotechsoft.com/gbi.sh | sudo bash — the installer auto-detects your Linux distribution and sets everything up. Then run petacomm configure --api-key YOUR_KEY to add your Claude API key.
Visit platform.claude.com and create a free account. Anthropic provides a free tier that is sufficient for most personal use of Petacomm Easy.
All Petacomm tools support Ubuntu (18.04+), Debian (10+), Arch Linux, Fedora (37+), RHEL (8, 9), Alpine (3.14+), openSUSE, Rocky Linux, CentOS Stream, Linux Mint, Kali Linux, Void Linux and more. Both amd64 and arm64 architectures are supported.
Yes — all tools are free under GPL-3.0, forever. We generate revenue through enterprise support contracts and custom tooling for organisations. We will never put core functionality behind a paywall.
First run gatebell status to check the service is active. Then run gatebell test-alert to send a test notification. If that fails, verify your webhook URL in /etc/gatebell/alerts.conf and check outbound connectivity on port 443.
Yes. GPL-3.0 allows commercial use. You can deploy Petacomm tools on production servers, include them in internal tooling and use them for paid work. If you need a commercial licence without GPL obligations, contact us.
Run petacomm update to update Petacomm Easy. For GateBell, use your system package manager: sudo apt upgrade gatebell on Debian/Ubuntu. You can also re-run the gbi.sh installer — it handles updates automatically.
